You can build anything. That’s the problem.

AI made building cheap. It didn’t make choosing easier — it made it the whole game.

A year ago, the hard part of starting something was getting it built. Today a weekend and a good prompt get you a working product. That’s real progress. It also quietly moved the hard part somewhere else.

When anything is buildable, the question stops being can I build this? and becomes should I be the one building this? Most founders answer it with vibes: a trend list, a tweet thread, whatever a friend is excited about this month.

With AI you can focus on anything. That doesn’t mean you should.

Founder–market fit is the part you can’t prompt

Investors have talked about founder–market fit for years: the idea that some people are simply better positioned to win a given market. Maybe they’ve lived the problem, sold to the buyer, or built the plumbing before. It’s the unfair head start that doesn’t show up in a pitch deck.

The trouble is that most people judge their own fit from their job title and their enthusiasm. Titles are claims. Enthusiasm is a feeling. Neither is evidence.

So we built something that asks for receipts

Founder Market Fit reads what you’ve actually done — the roles you held, the things you shipped, the projects you keep coming back to — and cross-checks it against what you say you care about. Then it gives you a Fit Report:

  • one primary match, where your record says you start ahead,
  • one alternative worth keeping warm,
  • one place you’d start behind, even if you want it,
  • and a two-week probe to test the primary before it eats a year.

Every claim in the report cites its source. If we can’t point to a receipt, we say so. You can argue with any of it — that’s the point.

What it’s not

It isn’t a personality test, a trend list, or an idea generator. It won’t tell you what’s hot. It tells you where you are hard to beat, and how to find out quickly whether that’s true.
